As you can see from the Lexus GS 300 picture above, the new 2012 Lexus GS 300 sedan combines traditional Lexus luxury and quality with edgy design and performance that makes it great. For 2012, Lexus has further enhanced the value of this model by making the one-touch power moonroof and a six-disc, in-dash CD changer standard equipment. Throw in a number of available Lexus GS 300 body kits and your GS 300 will look fabulous no matter where you drive it. Please check back with us for all of the latest GS 300 info. We hope you turn to our GS 300 review for all of your Lexus questions.
Why beat around the bush? The GS 300 has an engine that's second to none. If you're buying the GS 300, you'll get an all-aluminum, DOHC, 4.3-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower. Coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission, this power plant can propel the GS 300 from 0-60 mph in 7.8 seconds, making it one of the quickest vehicles in the Lexus fleet. The car also offers power rack-and-pinion steering and independent front and rear suspension. With performance like this, there's more reason than ever before to buy a Lexus GS 300.
Even with its sharp focus on performance, the GS 300 sedan presents the luxury design and details that have defined Lexus from its inception. Luxury details for the GS 300 models include:
  • Electronic compass
  • Water-repellent front-door glass
  • Interior wood trim
  • Available leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls for the audio system
  • Mark Levinson audio systems
  • Available touchscreen Lexus Navigation System with DVD-based map data
  • High-speed navigation computer
On top of all of these features, the sedan comes with a number of available Lexus GS 300 body kits that enable you to add style to the front and sides of your car. With the right GS 300 body kit, you'll want to take a picture of your car and add it to the hundreds of Lexus GS 300 pictures already out there on the Web. When you do, be sure to let us know!
Finally, the Lexus GS 300 is one of the safest cars on the road today. Safety starts with front and rear energy-managing crumple-zone body construction, a strong passenger compartment and three-point seatbelts for all seating positions. Next, Lexus equips the GS 300 with two advanced systems that can help the driver in emergency situations and poor driving conditions:
The Brake Assist feature is designed to determine if the driver is attempting emergency braking and, if the driver has not stepped hard enough on the brake pedal to engage the ABS, the system applies maximum braking power until pedal pressure is released The Vehicle Skid Control system helps keep the vehicle going on its intended course by detecting front- and rear-wheel slide during cornering, and attempting to control either condition with torque intervention and/or by braking individual wheels
For more information on any of these safety features, or to read more about some of the 2012 Lexus GS 300 body kits we mentioned above, be sure to bookmark our GS 300 review and come back soon. We'll update this site frequently, and hope to see your name on our list of visitors again before the next time we do so.

Mini Paceman Concept unveiled at Detroit Auto Show

Mini has unveiled its new premium compact crossover, the Mini Paceman Concept coupe, at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The model is just a concept but plans for a production version are in the pipeline.

Mini plans to expand the range and build upon the success of the new Mini, evident by the number of new Mini models that have hit the showrooms in the past few years. The Mini Paceman will be yet another addition to the fleet. It was designed for the younger generation and will present an entirely new segment to the market: the premium crossover coupe.

Ian Robertson, a member of the board of management of Mini AG, described how keen Mini is on producing a production version during a press conference at the Detroit show,
“I’m thrilled to tell you now, for the very first time, that there will be a seventh member of the Mini family – and we will base it on this concept.”

Mr Robertson also said about the car,
“This car captures the typical Mini characteristics – unique design, clever functionality and signature driving fun – with a new level of agility. It combines an athletic, masculine coupe appearance with the dimensions of the Mini Countryman.”

As mentioned, the Mini Paceman is based on the current Mini Countryman and uses the John Cooper Works 1.6-litre turbocharged engine that outputs 157kW of power. It also uses the Mini Countryman’s ALL4 all-wheel drive system.
The new crossover coupe is set to hit the market some time in 2012.

Year 1973 saw the first Porsche Turbo prototype on display at several shows across the Europe. In the year 1974, the Porsche 911 was launched in the market featuring a 260 BHP engine with 3 litres capacity.

With electric windows, Bilstein shocks, headlamp washers, air conditioning, tinted glass and leather interior, it was a more than a luxurious car. At first 500 units were produced, but it became so popular that they ended up selling 1000.

There were several features of this car which made a great impression on people, including large rear wing, and large tyres which came with wide wheels.

By the year 1978, many enhanced features were added to the model, for example an engine with capacity of 3.3 litres, and resultant 40 BHP more. Modifications were also made to the rear wing by removing 2 different grilles; the two were replaced with a slightly elevated, single big smooth surface; this slight elevation was made in order to create some room for an intercooler. 2nd energy crunch resulted in turbo being removed in America and Japan in the year 1979; only after around 7 years, that is, in the year 1986, the turbo made its appearance back in America.

In the year 1993, the engine’s capacity was increased to 3.6 litres. Another newer model made its appearance in the market in the year 1996. This model has an engine which could deliver 408 BHP, and has a six-speed gearbox. Less evocative rear wing, gives it a very elegant look. The wheel diameters are eighteen inches, and consist of 5 hollow spokes, which reduce the weight by around 20%. Front wing has air ducts, which makes braking system more powerful. In around two and a half seconds, you can stop the car running at a speed of 100 km/h; so that makes it a very safe automobile, relatively.
