I will have to call Apple. My serial number is within the range and it says it is invalid.
Dang this is, I just bought a new battery to replace the one Apple will now replace for free. I guess I can try and return it for something else after it gets here. I don't really like having two batteries.

I had no complaints and the batterie drainage wasn't to bad well my DH said it was bad

My guess is that Apple is transitioning away from making "computers" in the legacy sense of the word.

I think iTunes 7 looks great. The main improvement to me is the speed increase. I find scrolling up and down the library is so much faster. Hopefully this is a nod to new UI components in Leopard?
In terms of people finding it slower, isn't this just because it's working out all your gapless audio and downloading cover art after installing??
I also like the new scrollbars etc. I think if anything, they are more Unix or Sun/Java-like, certainly not Windows. I honestly think the candy-blue Aqua theme is disgusting. It served a purpose to be different, but now it needs to look sophisticated, which I think they have achieved.
The eye-candy of the cover-art view is brilliant. It really works as a UI. It genuinely makes me look at my library in a different way. I've already listened to loads of stuff that was gathering dust.

I think Jobs is having some health issues right now. But seriously, would you like him to pull them out of his ass? Isn't job creation something that's supposed to happen naturally in the private sector? I really don't see what the president can do to change it. As for Libya, Obama is not out of line, anyone would have done the same thing. At first he was criticized for dragging his feet on it, then he was criticized for doing it. he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. This guy can never catch a break.

Well, they find a problem and Apple responds in less than a day! No matter whose fault it was, Apple's computers had an obscure security hole and I applaud them for fixing it... not sure why everyone is getting all defensive over this one. Apple has already fixed the problem with the latest OS X security update, and I would guess Microsoft has done the same thing:
The update to WebKit resolves an issue where a maliciously-crafted HTML document could cause a previously deallocated object to be accessed, leading to an application crash or arbitrary code execution.
Really seems like a non-event to me as Macbook users (I wouldn't be scared to claim 100% of them) use their internal airport cards, not the silly USB one that opened up a security hole before this seurity update existed.
I mean if you install ARD and give someone the password then they can have complete control over your computer maybe that should reach front page as the main headline.

I agree with you that a 2 lb. laptop isn't possible with an optical drive, but a 3 lb. laptop is still possible:

What I need is a new MBP refresh with 160gig hard drive and no quality issues. A better GPU would be nice also.
But a new iPod nano sound great since my current one is scratched beyond recognition.
My wish list, which given it's been forever since Apple has updated the nano, shouldn't be too pie-in-the-sky:
1. 12 gigs
2. 20+ hour battery life
3. Scratch resistent

imagine let's say that wal mat due to this apple deal with all studios will make a statemnet saying we lost 10% or our revenues so we will lay off 10% of our employess to cover for the losses.!!

Wal*Mart losing 10% of their revenue would still leave them a VERY profitable company... and firing that many employees would probably cause them to close some stores... which would result in further loss of profit.
If Wal*Mart lost 10% of their revenue by movie purchases alone, they would have to concentrate harder on other things.
Something else confuses me though...
Wal*Mart caters to the lower income families... who likely don't have high-speed internet and are, thus, EXTREMELY unlikely to purchace movies from the iTS, lest they want to be downloading for 3 days straight. Those people will go to the local Wal*Mart and buy the same movie from the $5.50 bargain bin. Sleazy customers are happy; Wal*Mart is happy. What do they have to be complaining about?
Man, I love that bin. I've found so many awesome movies in there.......... like Total Recall. Okay, so maybe not THAT awesome.

Can we talk about the disparity between the dificulty levels? I played the game through the first time on heroic and I am not trying to pat myself on the back or anything but it wasn't that hard. I played the first level on legendary last night and I'm pretty sure I died at least a billion times. Whats the deal? I don't remember Halo 3 being like that.
Yea, they seem to really amp up the damage you take when the difficulty rises. I don't like that method. It takes like 3 or 4 shots from a Grunt's Plasma Pistol to completely down your shield, and then pretty much any shots after that will kill you. It isn't very fun. I would prefer if they would just make the enemies harder to kill, like with better shields or better tactics. Just making it easier for them to kill me isn't really challenging, it is just arbitrarily difficult, and pretty lame.
And yes, this game is a good deal harder than Halo 3. I think it is a combination of the improved AI, more enemies, and the fact that they almost always give you a weapon with hardly any ammo. Having to run around looking for weapons, while getting instantly killed is just about as low on my "Fun Factor" scale a game can get.

Over the weekend, even Defense Secretary Robert Gates admitted that America has no vital interest in Libya.Uh yeah. Saw that on Meet the Press. Paul is only telling a half-truth. Gates went on to say that other NATO countries felt they have a vital interest in Libya, and I think we all understand how the NATO treaty works. Whether or not you believe or agree with that, the fact is that Paul misrepresented Gates' statement.
